Silicon Valley computer scientist Alan M. Marcum ’74 will deliver the commencement address at Manlius Pebble Hill School Sunday, June 8. Commencement exercises for the 49 students in the Class of 2014 will begin at 2 p.m. on the MPH campus.

Appearing in Central New York Playhouse’s recent production of “Jump/Cut,” by playwright Neena Beber, 1996 MPH graduate Sean Pratt collected rave reviews for his portrayal of Dave, the play’s bipolar central character.

A Spanish language edition of “The Forest That Rains Frogs,” Dusty Heer’s recently published children’s book, is now available. MPH Spanish teacher Silviana Medina-Dooher collaborated with Dusty to write the Spanish translation of Dusty’s story of Polvoroso, a coqui frog from the Puerto Rican rain forest. Continue reading

In celebration of its 10th annual Jazz Fest, Manlius Pebble Hill School is offering Central New York music lovers free admission to this year’s event. Jazz Fest 10 will be held in the School’s Coville Theater, 5300 Jamesville Rd. in DeWitt, from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday June 2.
