Seventh Grader Wins Slalom at State Races

March 13, 2012

MPH Ski Team member Kai Maier competed against the state’s top racers in this month’s New York State Ski Championships, winning the Slalom and finishing fifth in the Giant Slalom!

His incredible performance at the state races, held at Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, N.Y., qualified him to compete in the Eastern Championships, scheduled for March 23 – 27.  The Seventh Grader will travel to the Sunday River Ski Area in Maine, where he will race against the best skiers on the entire East Coast.

Best of luck, Kai!
