History, Spanish Teachers Join MPH Faculty

Manlius Pebble Hill is pleased to welcome two new teachers this fall as full-time faculty members. John Stegeman, who has taught at both the high school and college levels, is joining the History Department and will teach Modern and European history.
Mr. Stegeman, a doctoral student in Latin American history at Syracuse University, holds a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an M.A. in world history from the State University of New York, College at Brockport. He has taught in the Rochester City School District, at Nazareth College and SUNY Brockport, and has been a teaching assistant in the History Department at S.U. for several years.
Kathleen Ryzewski will teach Spanish in Upper School. She holds a B.A. in economics and Spanish from Fairfield University and an M.A. in Spanish language and translation from New York University in Madrid.
Mrs. Ryzewski, the recipient of a 2010 graduate scholarship from the New York State Association of Foreign Language Teachers (NYSAFLT), is a member of professional organizations including NYSAFLT, the National Network for Early Language Learning, and Language Educators of Central New York. She taught previously at The Green Vale School in Old Brookville, N.Y. and The Bishop’s Academies of the Catholic Diocese of Syracuse.
